As a follow-up to the May 3rd Supplier GHG Reduction Engagement Pilot Kick-off webinar, we are conducting a Q & A Pilot Follow Up Conference Call on May 17th from 4:00 to 5:00 (Eastern). The purpose of the webinar on May 17th is to provide further understanding of the GHG Pilot Program and gain our companies support in joining. (Companies that commit to joining the GHG Pilot program will commit to developing greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals). If you have questions about who in your organization should be participating in the pilot this would be a good opportunity for us to connect and for you to ask questions. The GHG Pilot Program will educate suppliers about resources and tools that are available for reducing GHG emissions and will allow suppliers to learn from experiences of other companies who have established GHG emission reduction goals. Suppliers that commit to the pilot program will also help to influence and shape the Alliance’s supplier outreach program.
The pilot is open to up to twenty suppliers and the Alliance is interested in both suppliers who have established GHG goals as well as those who have not yet inventoried their GHG emissions. The pilot consists of the May 3 webinar, the Q&A conference call on May 17, a webinar on June 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 Eastern and a TBD site evaluation performed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
